Clothing Exchange

Parents volunteer to organize the collection, sorting and swapping of gently used clothing twice a month. A couple hours in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening. The volunteer Moms can also get together to sort the clothes, have coffee and socialize with their children. Residents of the Biggar Community can donate their clothing, swap their clothing or donate a small fee if so desired.

Parents in Motion

Parents have a chance to participate in organized and certified fitness classes like Cardio, Yoga and BellyFit. Free Childcare is provided for the Parents in Motion classes.

Kids in the Kitchen
A coordinator with the Food Handling course and the assistance of volunteers provide an after school cooking program that teaches children how to prepare low cost, nutritious foods from scratch.
Summer Preschool Program
A Program Coordinator along with student helpers provide a structured play environment for preschoolers Monday to Friday from 1:30pm-3pm in July and August.
Parent's Coffee Group
Provides an opportunity for families to socialize once a month
Mother Goose Reading Program

The Mother Goose Reading Program is for preschool aged children and younger to listen to stories and then participate in fun crafts and activities that follow the theme of the story. This program runs 2-3 times per month depending on volunteer availability.

Other classes we have coordinated are Pre-K Music Program, CPR and First Aid, Baby Massage to name a few.

Programs & Activities are based on the needs and wants of the Families in our Community.
